If you will have free time on campus next year and want to take on additional service hours for payment, email [email protected].  

If you will be on campus early in the morning or late in the day, please consider picking an hour then because it's the time fewer people are on campus to fill the needs.  If you do not have young children, please consider not picking the playground times so those with young children can fill them.  

Descriptions

Opening Support - This is a 30-minute per-week assignment (7:45 - 8:15am) so you would commit to doing it for the full 30 weeks of classes.  You would be assisting with the process of opening the buildings on Monday mornings and helping to prepare for class day.

Rovers - A rover is responsible for continually monitoring the area they are assigned to.  They will help with keeping the area secure, monitoring children, and ensuring the area stays clean.  Rovers assigned to a building with classes will be asked to check in with the tutors in the building several times during the hour and be available if the tutors need assistance. The last monitor in an area is responsible for helping the tutors with cleanup and bringing the door signs back to the office.  The following areas have assigned rovers:

• Conservatory, Dorm 1&2, Gagaball
• Annex A & C, Dorm 3
• Playground & Texas Pavilion
• Dining Hall, bridge, fishing areas

Monitors- Monitors have much the same role as rovers but they are in a single room or area.  Their job is to help keep the room/building secure and clean.

• Chaparral and Study Hall
• Family Lounge
• Rec Hall monitor - This building is only open during lunch and then from 1-3pm.
• Basketball Courts & other sport areas - This area is available from 10-2.
